Hawthorn will be bringing back one of its all-time guernsey designs in season 2023.

Thanks to the club’s new apparel partner ISC, Hawks members will get to have the ultimate say on which retro jumper the brown and gold wear next year.

What better way to celebrate the club’s history than by turning back the clock and wearing an iconic jumper from the past.

The three options below are:

OPTION 1 – THE GOLDEN HAWK

1996 marked the centenary celebration for the AFL with two pre-season spectacles. Hawthorn wore this guernsey in both the 1996 Lighting Premiership for the centenary year competition and again for the 1996 Ansett Australia Cup pre-season competition.

OPTION 2 – THE BIG HAWK

Hawthorn wore the Big Hawk throughout the 1997, 1998 and 1999 Ansett Australia Cup pre-seasons, and as an away guernsey for the 1997 and 1998 seasons. Hawthorn won the 1999 Ansett Australia Cup, taking out Port Adelaide to be crowned pre-season premiers.

OPTION 3 – THE BLUE DIAMOND

Affectionately known as the ‘jockey jumper’ and certainly the most talked about guernsey of all time, Hawthorn donned this guernsey in the 1995 Ansett Australia Cup pre-season competition.
