Hawthorn co vice-captain Emily Bates has been voted in as the Round 5 MVP following her dominant performance against Brisbane on Sunday.
The star midfielder recorded team-highs in disposals (17) and clearances (five) to go with a game-high 14 tackles in the Hawks' 27-point loss against her old side.
She also had 13 contested possessions, four inside 50s and three rebound 50s, highlighting her prowess across the ground.
This is Bates' second MVP award of the season, backing up her Round 1 nod.
Speaking post-game, the 27-year-old highlighted her ferocity at the contest as one of her best attributes.

"I'm so proud of the team and the way we attacked the game.
"It was fiery, it was fierce but that's the way we want to play footy."
