Emerging defender Jenna Richardson and star midfield duo Emily Bates and Kaitlyn Ashmore have been unveiled as Hawthorn's nominees for the AFL Players' Association Most Valuable Player Award.
Richardson had a breakout season down back, averaging 11.7 disposals, 6.8 intercept possessions and 3.7 marks after playing all 10 games for the Hawks in 2023.
In the midfield, Bates dominated with averages of 20.8 disposals, 13 contested possessions, 9.7 tackles and 4.9 clearances in her first season as a Hawk.
Demonstrating her versatility this season by playing across half-back and on the wing, Ashmore averaged 15 disposals, five contested possessions, 3.8 tackles and 3.6 marks from 10 games.
The MVP award is voted on by the league's players, culminating in an announcement at the AFLPA AFLW Awards night on Tuesday 28 November.
