Last time we met

Hawthorn (72) defeated by Port Adelaide (75) in Semi Final, 2024.

Hawthorn suffered a three-point loss to Port Adelaide in a Semi Final at Adelaide Oval, in a thrilling game from start to finish.

The Power were threatening early but the third quarter belonged to the Hawks as they got their first lead for the game following back-to-back goals from young sensation Nick Watson, who finished with a team-high three majors.

Luke Breust enjoyed his moment late in the quarter when he converted a set shot in his milestone 300th game, cutting the margin to five points and setting up the thrilling final term.

The Hawks surged late but with a few near misses, they bowed out of the 2024 season.

Jai Newcombe managed a game-high 31 disposals, and equal game-high six clearances with James Worpel.

Among the Hawks best were Jack Scrimshaw, Newcombe, Watson, Worpel, James Sicily and Harry Morrison.

What's On

Finn Maginness is scheduled to play his 50th game in the brown and gold come Sunday night. Maginness debuted in Round 17 of 2020 against the Western Bulldogs and has since become a strong and versatile member of the Hawthorn lineup, putting together some impressive stints off the wing, in attack and in a tagging role when called on.

The Hawks will don a special guernsey for Gather Round, a predominantly gold design featuring a brown heritage HFC logo on the front.
