Hawthorn has made two changes ahead of its blockbuster Easter Monday clash with Geelong at the MCG.

In defence, Jack Scrimshaw will play his first game since Round 1, while up forward, Connor Macdonald has recovered from an ankle injury and returns to the line-up after missing two matches.

Jack Ginnivan and Finn Maginness make way for the duo.

Hawthorn Executive General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said Scrimshaw and Macdonald were important inclusions for the game.

"It's great to welcome back Jack and Connor," McCartney said.

"Connor's athletic profile is a welcome addition to our forward structure. He has the ability to hit the scoreboard and brings infectious energy to our forward line.

"Jack has become an important part of our defensive structure. His smart ball use and his ability to impact both aerially and on the ground means he is an important inclusion for a challenging contest against the Cats on Easter Monday."

A bumper crowd is expected for the Easter Monday match, with everyone encouraged to support Dare To Hope by donating, purchasing some merchandise or buying a virtual seat for the game at daretohope.com.au.

Members and fans are also encouraged to be in their seats by 2.50pm to watch 'The Gut Run', where a relay team including footy legends, athletics stars and an iconic comedian will attempt to break the 400m world record to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research.
