The Hawks hit Goodwood Primary School in Hobart today, on day one of the club’s annual community camp in Tasmania.
James Worpel, Jack Scrimshaw, Ricky Henderson and VFLW player Jess Sibley took grade five and six students through a series of activities aimed at assisting students to understand mental health.
Worpel said it was important for students to understand the support networks available to them.
“We’ve spent the morning talking about mental health and the importance of having good support networks,” said Worpel.
“By talking openly with kids, we can hopefully help them realise all the many people around them, who they can go to for help if they need it.”
