Review
In his first year at Hawthorn, Conor Glass started the season promisingly.
The Irishman played 13 games for Box Hill, averaging 15 disposals, four marks and three tackles, as he stood out with his fleet of foot and daring skills.
Then, ahead of the Round 18 clash with Fremantle, the 19-year old was upgraded from the rookie list and picked to make his debut.
He became the first Irishman to pull on a brown and gold jumper.
Glass was impressive at senior level and managed to maintain his place in the side for the remainder of the season.
Another preseason under his belt ahead of the 2018 season should see Glass go to another level again next year.

“Conor was in some really good form at Box Hill level and then the opportunity arose for him with us needing a running half-back. He came in for a game against Fremantle and then didn’t look back.
“He slotted in nicely with the other defenders, and his effort to defend and then get off his man and attack was strong.
“He is obviously new to our game but he wouldn’t have ever thought that he was going to play this year, so that’s great.
“He gelled nicely with our defence. Hopefully he will acquit himself nicely at Box Hill and put some strong finals performances together.
“Then we hope to see him have a big preseason for us because his type of player is just gold for us.”
