Sam Mitchell (Hawthorn)
Mitchell has an outstanding record against the Cats in recent times, who have elected not to tag the Hawthorn star in the past.
He collected a team-high 36 disposals in Hawthorn’s Round 1 loss to the Cats this year, but the Hawks will be hoping he won’t have to do as much of the heavy lifting this time around.
Cyril Rioli (Hawthorn)
After a quiet game against the Eagles in Round 22, Rioli was back to his best against the Pies two weeks ago, finishing with 11 touches, seven tackles and three goals.
Round 1 was one of only two times he has gone goalless in 2016, but who could forget his ten-disposal, six-goal performance against Geelong in Round 20 last year. With some wet weather around, he could rip this game apart.
Luke Hodge (Hawthorn)
After missing a lot of footy in the first half of the season, Hodge looks to be saving his best footy for this finals campaign.
The inspirational skipper is averaging 25 disposals over his last four games and looks absolutely primed to give his all tonight against the Cats, who he racked up 24 touches and four goals against in Round 20 last year.
Patrick Dangerfield (Geelong)
Make no mistake, Dangerfield has had one of the great individual seasons and it all started in Round 1 against Hawthorn when he collected a massive 43 touches.
The Hawks have said they will back in their midfielders to counter Dangerfield and his partner in crime Joel Selwood, but they will certainly have to monitor his influence on the game.
Tom Hawkins (Geelong)
Hawkins was pretty well held by James Frawley on Easter Monday this year, finishing with just two marks and two goals for the afternoon.
But he looks in ominous form on the back of a bag of six majors against the Demons to finish off the home-and-away season, and Frawley will have a big job on his hands tonight.
